Beach Day

Tomorrow I'm driving to Portland and then heading to the beach with my sister, brother in-law, nephew and my dad! I'm really looking forward to a day away from work and getting to spend some time with family.

Hoping for a beautiful sunny day, but it's Oregon and, well, it's also February so I can't expect too much. Still hoping to get some good pics I can share with you next week!

For Like Ever

Sfgirlbybay is by far one of my most favorite blogs. Victoria (write/editor), has incredible taste and I always love to see what she has to share. I'm always finding something I can't wait to buy, like the poster, For Like Ever, by Village. How adorable? They have another great poster, you + me, pictured below that I just might needs as well. =)

Ace Hotel

Ace Hotel is a super stylish chain of hipster boutique hotels with locations in Portland, Seattle, Palm Springs and New York City. In Portland, Ace is located downtown near the Pearl District and PSU, just a few blocks from Powell's Books. The rooms are eco-friendly, sustainable and even pet friendly! Here are a few pics from when I stopped in with my friend, Roger, back in December.

Soopa Scarf

I soopa love the soopa scarf! These gorgeous knit scarves are handmade by a young lady, Yokoo, in New York. I could definitely stand the cold weather better if I had one of these!

Statement Sign

I absolutely love this bedroom. The way the light shines in through the windows and the contrast of colors is beautiful. The wood floors and vintage style decor is a perfect combination. My eye was instantly drawn to the statement sign on the wall. It's made from plywood, vinyl letters and spray paint! I'll definitely be making one of these when I have my own place again. Agate Alley Bistro

This morning, Jesse and I decided to check out Agate Alley Bistro for breakfast. Neither of us had been there, but we've heard a lot about it. The restaurant opened in April 2008 and is tucked away on East 19th, next to Studio One Cafe (a famous breakfast spot).

The breakfast menu has a lot of great options, especially if you're a vegetarian like me. The food is fresh, local and super tasty! We couldn't help but notice the Blood Mary Bar, probably one of the coolest things I've seen in a restaurant/bar. That'll be 2, please.

First, our server brought us salt rimmed glasses with ice and vodka. Then, we went inside and made custom Bloody Marys! The bar was full of all sorts of different garnishes and 2 different mixes. I used the mild mix, green olives, pickled green beans, pickled asparagus and a lemon. Jesse chose the spicy mix, green olives, pickled green beans, pickled asparagus, bacon and a lemon. Delish.

Aviator Nation

I absolutely love this oh-so-cute line of vintage clothing, Aviator Nation. The tees and hoodies look so soft and comfy! Creator, Paige Mycoskie studied how tees were made back in the day, including the machines used to make the fabric and the the dyes used for color. Paige eventually replicated a vintage production line and uses these same techniques to make all the pieces in her collection. Awesome!

Yes, Paige is the sister to Blake Mycoskie, creator of TOMS shoes. Cool, huh?

Why Hello There

Well, it's been almost 2 years since I've written here. I've been wanting for so long to bring this blog back to life and now I've finally decided to do it. When I started this blog it was for a PR class and I was required to write about PR. Now, I'm doing things my way and while that might include PR from time to time, that is not the focus anymore. I simply want to share with you bits and pieces of my life and the things along the way I find interesting.
