Mhmm

(image via we heart it)

Yes, I'm tired. Lately, I feel like I've been going non-stop. I'm either in Eugene or Portland (or somewhere in between) working one of my three jobs and my goodness am I tired. I love what I do and am very grateful to have such wonderful work, but sometimes it just wears you out. And, as a result of my busy schedule I haven't made time to blog. I have lots of things I want to say, just not a lot of time to get my thoughts together. Please come again soon and I promise to be more entertaining!

San Francisco Dreaming

Lately I've been dreaming of San Francisco and when I'll be able to visit all my friends and the beautiful places I used to frequent. Here are a few of my favorite photos from my time there.

The view from Coit Tower.

Berkeley Hills.

Seals at Pier 39. Love 'em.

Grocery store we stumbled upon in Potrero Hill.

My walk to work.

Tennessee beach. A hidden treasure my friend, Melissa, shared with me.

Weekend Getaway 3.20

My goodness the past few weeks have been overwhelmingly busy. So busy that I haven't had time to tell you about all the things I've been doing! And, by all the things I've been doing I mean mostly work, but I did go on a little adventure last weekend. Saturday I was supposed to be at an event, but when the schedule changed I was unable to attend and therefore had my afternoon free. This rarely happens, so I took full advantage of the gorgeous sunny day and headed to Sisters with Jesse.

Jesse and I love rock climbing and not long ago we came across a place to boulder in Sisters, so we went to check it out. The drive was beautiful and the location for bouldering was more amazing than we had imagined. I can't wait to go back!

As you can see it's absolutely gorgeous in Central Oregon and I'm starting to think I should live there. :)

Inspiration

I love Kelly Cutrone and I want a woman like her in my life. She's such a hard ass and that's what I love about her. I recently finished reading her book, If You Have To Cry, Go Outside, and highly recommend it. Here are a couple of my favorite quotes, both found here.

(image via)
"I'm a really big believer that we all have this voice inside of us, and that voice is God talking to us, and we are all magical, and we all have something as specific to do as our fingerprint. And everybody should go out and do that. And I think between the ages of 15 and 32, don’t worry about getting married, don’t worry about settling down, don’t worry about having a baby. Give birth to yourself."
---
"Your dreams are ballbusters; they’re not the yellow brick road, and you have to really understand, most of our life we’re following this carrot to find out who we’re not. Allow yourself the chance to make a lot of mistakes. And after you do, pick yourself up and keep on trying, ‘cause if I quit every time I was bad at something, I probably wouldn’t have made it through high school, so keep going."

Beauty Bar PDX

I'm so excited that Beauty Bar has opened in Portland! I can't wait to check it out!

Photobooth Love + Ace Hotel

Today I went with Jesse to Portland for just a short morning trip. He is working on a new film project and needed to scope out the location and whatnot. He thought he would be there a couple hours, but plans changed a little when we arrived and we were really only there for a few minutes. Anyway, it was still about 8:30 in the morning and I wasn't ready just yet to drive home so we decided to head over to Ace Hotel. Jesse and I love photobooths and since they have one in their lobby we had to stop by.

We took the first set of pictures and all of the sudden the camera started again and we ended up taking a second set of pictures! And, even better we didn't get charged twice. Love Portland. Love Photobooths.

Weekend Getaway

I told you last week that I was going to the coast over the weekend and I did indeed do just that. It was a gorgeous day in Seaside and I completely fell in love with the little beach town. I really don't think I've ever been there before. Who knew Oregon had a beach town with a boardwalk, and actual beach?! Needless to say, I'll definitely be returning sometime soon. Here are some pics from the trip:

That's my sister, Jenae, her husband Justin, baby nephew Jack is hiding under the blanket and their dog Henry. Love them!

Portland, Here I Come

From the moment I decided that I was leaving San Francisco and moving back to Oregon, all I could think about was Portland. That is, aside from finding a great job, an amazing apartment and being close to my boyfriend and family again. But, most of those things did include Portland. I have not found a job up there just yet, but I can just feel that I am getting closer and closer.

All this has me daydreaming about how I will decorate, where I will eat and who will be my neighbors. My goodness, I just can't wait! Here are some pictures that show just how wonderful Portland is and why I can't wait for it to be my city.
(images found here, here, here and the last two are from me!)

Catbird NYC

Catbird is a fabulous boutique in NYC that carries jewelry, clothing and gifts. They specialize in local designers, but do carry items from designers all over. I really love the jewelry, especially the rings.
This white sapphire ring is perfect. Not only because it's my birthstone, but I love that it's small and delicate.
This Digby and Iona tree trunk ring reminds me of being young and in love. You can even customize the engraving!

I love personalized accessories and these alphabet rings are no exception. The whole alphabet is available, as well as phrases like "i heart u" and "xo".
